The Streaming Giant Casts Spot-On Actor for Bentham in the Hit Series Third Season
The Secret Organization is geared up to play a huge role in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, though the major clash isn’t set to occur until the next season, and a beloved, popular member has recently been selected.
The platform declared Tuesday that the skilled actor is now part of the One Piece season 3 cast and will play Bon Clay. Bon Clay has the ability to transform into an identical duplicate of anyone they’ve made contact with with their right hand. The actor, who is identifies as non-binary and goes by they/them, will portray a rendition of that figure re-envisioned as gender non-binary, instead of as a drag performer, in the live-action series, as in the source material and animated series.
Escola is joined by a number of fresh additions tasked with bringing the group to reality, including leader Mr. 0, portrayed by the seasoned performer, a talented actress as a key member, and a familiar face, who also joins the ensemble as the monarch of the fictional land.
Although the role is a important part of the group, the persona will be introduced in One Piece season 3. Given season 2 likely to portray the Little Garden storyline, this signals a major departure in the timing of their first appearance, one that could suggest more adjustments to the story’s structure.
The actor’s combination of sharp comedic timing and emotional depth makes them a ideal selection for the part. Along with their current animated role in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and several accolades for penning and acting in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, showcasing the range they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s highly regarded figures.
Netflix's live-action One Piece show is scheduled to come back for its season two on March 10th, 2026.
