Administration Decries 'Democratic Hoax' as Additional Jeffrey Epstein Photographs Released
House Democrats have published a additional set of what they termed "alarming" photographs from the property of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, depicting notably Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and ex-UK prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The opening batch of 19 photographs—a portion of which have been seen before—plus another 70 released later on Friday represent a small number of the almost 100,000 images provided to the House oversight committee, which is looking into the actions and ties of Epstein.
The fallen money manager was a victim of apparent suicide in a New York prison cell in 2019 after being indicted on sex-trafficking offenses.
Notable Figures in the Photos
Included in the notable figures shown in the initial batch are celebrities including movie maker Woody Allen; Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, originator of the Virgin conglomerate.
Donald Trump appears in three of the initial 19 images. In one, he is photographed with six women, whose faces are blacked out.
White House Response
The White House responded to the release in a statement, charging Democrats of purposefully "cherry-picking" the images for partisan aims and to "seek to establish a false narrative."
"This Democratic fabrication against President Trump has been time and again refuted," a presidential representative stated, insisting that "the Trump administration has achieved more for Epstein's victims than Democrats have ever done by frequently urging transparency, releasing reams of papers, and demanding more inquiries into Epstein's Democrat friends."
Panel Member Comment
The photos were disclosed lacking captions, but according to a Democratic representative from California and senior member of the oversight committee, they prompt further inquiries about Epstein's links with affluent people.
"The moment has come to halt this White House cover-up and bring justice to the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and his influential associates," he declared in a statement.
The publication of these images comes as the oversight committee continuing its inquiry into the Epstein case.
